Abstract
As part of our ongoing tradition of critically examining the early days of each presidential administration, the Carr-Ryan Center turns its attention to President Donald Trump’s second term. With the completion of his first 100 days in office, we invited our faculty, Fellows, and affiliates to reflect on the impact his presidency has had—and may continue to have—on human rights and democracy in the United States. We asked them to respond to two key questions:
- In what ways have Trump’s first 100 days of his second term reshaped the political landscape, and what potential ripple effects could this have for the future of American democracy?
- Which policy decisions from this period stand out the most, and how might they affect human rights in the United States?
Read their insights in the attached document.
