May 30, 2025, Video: "Ken Rogoff is a distinguished American economist. He is professor of International Economics at Harvard. He is also a former chess Grandmaster. Rogoff received a BA in MA from Yale University, Summa Cum Laude in 1975, and a PHD in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1980. At 16, he dropped out of high school and found success playing chess. However, at 18, he made the decision to pursue a career in economics rather than to become a professional chess player. In 1998, he joined the faculty of Harvard. He served as chief Economist of the International Monetary Fund from 2001 to 2003. He is currently the Maurits C. Boas Chair of International Economics at Harvard."
