The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Alumni Board consists of 16 elected and 6 appointed members, including 2 ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø liaisons to the Harvard Alumni Association (HAA). The next election and appointment cycle begins in January 2026. Details are outlined below. For questions, contact ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Alumni Relations.
Board Elections
Election to the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Alumni Board is a four-step process starting with self-nominations in January 2026. The Nominating Committee, in partnership with the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Alumni Relations team, will administer both processes.
Step 1: Self-nominations
- Self-nominations will be open for one month.
- All ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø alumni, both degree-program and professional learning, are eligible to self-nominate for the Board.
- Only self-nominations are accepted. We do not accept recommendations of other alumni.
Step 2: First-round Review
- The Nominating Committee, within the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Alumni Board, will review all self-nominations and determine which candidates will move on to the interview round.
Step 3: Interviews
- The Alumni Relations Team will inform candidates whether they have made it to the interview round.
- Candidates who make it to the interview round will be contacted by a member of the Nominating Committee to set up a time for a virtual interview.
Step 4: Elections
- After all interviews, the Nominating Committee and the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Alumni Relations team will select 12 candidates for the voting slate.
- The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø alumni community will be invited to vote on eight of the 12 candidates to join the Board. During this time, candidates may network and campaign for themselves among their peers.
- The eight candidates with the highest number of votes will serve as new Board members whose four-year terms will begin July 1, 2026.
Board Appointments
The appointments process will begin after the elections close in May 2026 and continue through the end of June 2026:
- The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Alumni Relations team and the Nominating Committee invite key ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø network, SIG, and HAA volunteers to submit nominations online.
- Candidate nominations must be submitted by fellow ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø alumni; self-nominations will not be accepted.
- The Nominating Committee and ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Alumni Relations team screen candidates and interview prospective appointees.
- The Nominating Committee recommends 8 candidates to the Executive Committee.
- The Executive Committee selects 4 finalists for ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Alumni Board approval.
- The 4 appointees are confirmed, and their terms begin July 1, 2026.
