Event Description: Join us for this year’s ALI LGBTQ+ Working Group webinar co-hosted with the Global LGBTQI+ Human Rights Program at the Carr-Ryan Center, Making the Impact Visible. This timely conversation will explore the short- and long-term effects of recent budget cuts on LGBTQ people, focusing on health and economic well-being, as well as the broader consequences for research, policy, and equity. With a focus on both analysis and strategy, we’ll look at how scholars and advocates are working to make these impacts visible and shift the narrative of how these cuts will ultimately impact real people. The conversation will feature leading voices from Harvard and beyond, including Dr. Brittany Charlton, Meredith Rosenthal, and Dr. M. V. Lee Badgett from the Williams Institute at UCLA. Moderated by Dr. Timothy Patrick McCarthy.
